In 1999, a few Bengalis of the Tri-state region formed
Mid America Bengali Association Inc. (MABA)
to cater the diverse cultural needs of Bengalis of Mid America. Initially, Louisville, Lexington, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville,
Huntsville, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Dayton (Indiana) joined MABA. Later, Georgia,
Ohio and other states too joined hand and hence MABA Inc. is in its continuous growth by more Bengali people's participation..
Mid America Bengali Association (MABA)
is a nonprofit organization under IRS 501(c)(3) with the following
objectives:

Promotion of Bengali Culture, Art,
Literature, Language and Heritage among Bengali communities and
among non-Bengali general public.

Maintenance and enhancement of
co-operation and association among the people who are interested
in the objectives of MABA.

Advancement of educational and
cultural interests of MABA.

Award the rights to host "Bangamela®"
to an Affiliated Member organization.
